ORGANIZATION

COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN - ALAN G. ODOM

 

Plan and conduct annual fund-raising activities for Downtown Benton, Inc., organize and conduct an annual membership drive, assist all other committees to recruit new members, promote the development of a strong volunteer network and promote our organizational goals to the community.

 

DESIGN

COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN - GARY KRAFT

 

Direct design improvement activity related to building maintenance and rehabilitation, historic preservation, new construction, public and private sighs, graphic material, and public improvements; visual merchandising, traffic and parking, coordinate window displays, and act as a design resource for properly owners.

 

PROMOTIONS

COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN - Alan G. Odom

 

Direct retail promotions, traffic-building activities, and image improvements for the downtown, define the marketable image of the downtown and ensure continuity of that image in all downtown promotional programs, monitor community and consumer perceptions of downtown and seek to reverse negative attitudes

 

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN - MIKE WYANT

 

Work to strengthen existing downtown businesses and eventually recruit additional businesses, develop business assistance teams, sponsor business seminars, identify downtown market opportunities, disseminate relevant information to existing and potential businesses, develop promotional literature, develop incentive programs to stimulate business growth.
